Don’t Stop Believin’ (in Your Data Platform)

Data platforms are now critical infrastructure. This session shows how DataOps and GitOps principles can be applied to create a positive streaming data platform for Data Engineers.

CEST

Modern data platforms have become as complex and business-critical as application platforms, yet they are often operated with ad hoc processes and limited visibility. In this talk, the speakers explore how DataOps applies platform engineering and GitOps principles to streaming data platforms built on technologies like Kafka.

Using a real-world reference architecture, they show how infrastructure, Kafka topics, connectors, and data pipelines can be managed declaratively through Git, validated via CI, and promoted safely across environments. They cover immutable deployments, auditability, safe rollbacks, and how observability provides visibility into the evolution of both data and infrastructure over time.

Attendees leave with practical patterns to treat data as a first-class platform product: reliable, testable, and operable at scale.
