Matthew Sweeney
Co-Founder and CTO, Gomboc AI
Matthew Sweeney is co-founder and CTO of Gomboc.ai, where he leads the development of deterministic AI systems that execute secure, production-ready infrastructure-as-code remediation directly in developer workflows. Prior to founding Gomboc, Matt led the Mandiant Security Validation engineering team at Google Cloud Security, helping organizations measure and strengthen their real-world cyber defense posture. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Fortinet, OPAQ Networks, FourV Systems, and SRC, Inc., where he built and scaled cybersecurity products across both startups and large enterprises. Over the past 20 years, Matt’s work has spanned applied R&D solving DARPA Grand Challenge problems to the development of commercial security platforms, including GreySpark risk analytics, Fortinet’s FortiSASE offering, and Mandiant Security Validation. He is the author of four patents, including innovations in continuous cybersecurity risk analysis and the application of artificial intelligence and ontological reasoning to security risk assessment.

From guardrails to fixes: Enforcing policy with open remediation language and deterministic AI
This 90-minute live workshop introduces the Open Remediation Language (ORL) and demonstrates how platform and DevOps teams can convert policy into actionable, validated code changes. Attendees will see how to apply deterministic remediation directly in Infrastructure as Code workflows, including Terraform and other languages, and how teams can selectively accept or review fixes before merging.

From alert to fix: A hands-on framework for security remediation that actually closes the loop
Most teams can detect vulnerabilities. Few can fix them at scale. In this workshop, we walk through every remediation approach, from manual triage to AI-assisted to fully automated, so you leave with a framework you can apply across your security practice starting Monday.
