Meet the speakers
Crossplane is more than “Terraform inside Kubernetes” - it’s a framework for turning infrastructure into APIs that developers can consume natively. In this talk, we’ll show how platform teams can use Crossplane to compose reusable infra abstractions that span public cloud, private cloud & on-premises environments.
The speaker will start with the basics: how Crossplane translates low-level infrastructure resources into higher-level APIs through compositions. Then explore advanced use cases: building golden paths that abstract away complexity, using Crossplane to unify cloud and vSphere automation, and applying policy and guardrails directly into the control plane. Along the way, they'll share patterns for avoiding pitfalls like over-abstraction or provider sprawl.
Attendees will come away with a better understanding of how to build their own “cloud API” for their organization, one that developers can use consistently across environments, while the platform team maintains full governance and flexibility.
