Building Internal Developer Platforms for the AI Era

AI coding assistants are enabling developers to produce more code, create more services, and ship changes faster than ever before. While this promises unprecedented gains in developer productivity, it also amplifies the challenges platform teams already face: managing growing CI/CD workloads, enforcing security and compliance, reducing deployment risk, and delivering scalable self-service experiences.

In this hands-on lab, you'll explore how to scale engineering output without sacrificing governance, reliability, or developer experience. Through practical exercises, you'll build CI/CD pipelines, deploy applications to Kubernetes, integrate security testing, implement progressive delivery with resilience testing, and apply policy-as-code controls.

Join this session to learn how platform engineering teams can establish the foundations of an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) that empowers developers to move faster while maintaining the security, consistency, and operational standards required for AI-accelerated software development.

Prerequisites:
Since the lab uses a pre-configured Harness account with delegates, connectors and infrastructure already working, there are no technical prerequisites to prepare in advance. Attendees must be able to access the application in their browser, as well as receive an invite email to create their account either before or at the beginning of the session.
