Building a platform maturity model
During this talk, I’ll share stories from the CNCF Platforms Working Group and how we built a maturity model to support companies of all shapes and sizes.
Platforms may have a long history, but platform engineering as a deep focus within organizations is an emerging practice moving at lightning speed.
As an organization, you need to find footing and chart a path to value, which may (or may not) include when and how to invest in this new platform engineering practice.
The CNCF Platforms Working Group has spent almost a year defining, refining, testing, and releasing a maturity model that describes the intersection of platform needs and platform engineering practices. This enables each team to apply industry-wide learnings to their specific context.
Join me to walk through the process of both creating and applying the maturity model to your platform based on my experience leading the CNCF effort.
