As cybersecurity threats evolve, platform engineering must shift from reactive firefighting to proactive resilience. In this talk, Prashant Gupta and Vinesh Prasanna M examine how Platform Owners and Security Leaders can work together to embed security into the fabric of modern platforms. Drawing on real-world experience, they introduce key principles - simplicity, measurement, and platform health - that align with the human immune system’s model of defense. The session demonstrates how “golden paved paths,” AI-driven recommendations, and the “3 Rs” framework - Rotate, Repave, Repair - can reduce developer cognitive load while fortifying systems. Gupta and Prasanna also explore how artificial intelligence enables both automation and autonomous security response, allowing teams to scale defense and accelerate innovation.
