AI has created a two-way challenge for platform teams, but also huge opportunities to supercharge platform engineering with AI and the other way round. On one side, AI-powered copilots, automated runbooks and chat interfaces promise to supercharge developer experience. On the other, data-science and model workloads demand GPU scheduling, lineage and compliance baked into the Internal Developer Platform from day one.
